Say Hello!

June 23, 2008

Bombers are a band from Queens, NY. They are a band about truth, honesty and integrity. Bands of that type are surely hard to come by. With a sound that manages to be 100% High Octane R n’ R with subtle undertones of late 80’s indie. They have paved their own way in today’s cluttered music scene. I adore these guys. Not only as a band that plays awesome music but, in a world filled with scenesters and hipster artfags trendoids, these guys still manage to be themselves. They know who they are and they’ll give you nothing less.

You know when someone tells you check to an artist, you make yourself sound completely interested and then you just never check that artist out? That’s me. I don’t normally listen to recommendations because when I do, I get let down.  This time it was different. A friend of mine told me to check out Bombers. She had seen them live a few years back and said “they’re your type of band. you will love them!” A few times she had asked me to come see them live with her, but I just never went. Finally, she had nagged enough, I checked out their myspace. (Myspace.com/WEAREBOMBERS) and I loved every single song. I found complete solace in the first 30 seconds of “The world is a wrecking ball.” Call me a nerd if you will, I’ll wear that name proudly. The band is original, the songs are meaningful and they make you smile.  Their sound is unlike any other. You can’t compare Bombers to their contemporaries, rather they are the bar that other bands fall short of.

Bombers

“Music cleanses the understanding; inspires it, and lifts it into a realm which it would not reach if it were left to itself.” ~Henry Ward Beecher

Months later, I’m a nerdbomber. I met a lovely lady that I now consider a good friend of mine. (Bean!) She understands my love for Bombers, because we both share that love. Bombers help you appreciate everything you have, hardwork and dedication. The decision was made to start a street team. We know It’s hard when a band is just starting out so Bean and I are here to lend a helping hand. (Check out the team.. Myspace.com/bombersstreetteam)

I bombers love you, Ninja.

A huge thanks to Bean for editing my horrific grammar and constant repetition.
